To really meet your holiday health and fitness goals, go ahead and put your name at the top of the list! Though it seems counterintuitive, making yourself—and your workout—a priority is essential to winning this holiday season!

 

If you’re having trouble finding the motivation to get started, try something different. If workouts seem stale, try yoga. If the weather permits, get outside for a run or walk. If you’re fortunate enough to live in an area that has four seasons, take advantage of the changing scenery to pull you out of a fall workout rut. And try adding a few drops of Peppermint Vitality™ to your water to give your workout a boost.

Rest Before You Work

Another workout deterrent is sleep deprivation. Allowing enough time for restful sleep is the first step toward meeting your workout goals. Lavender has long been used for its pleasing and calming aroma. Try mixing a few drops with water in a spray bottle and spritzing your pillow cases before you sleep.

 

Going all out performing a completely different exercise regimen, or even attempting to perfect a much-loved program, could result in unexpected muscle soreness. Foam rollers offer relief for unraveling tight, strained muscles, and be sure to always stretch before and after exercise to increase recovery speed, too. Excellent oils to apply post-workout are Peppermint, Wintergreen and Lemongrass.

 

Particularly when temperatures start dipping, a hot bath could offer a most relaxing comfort. Run warm water in the tub and add several drops of a single scent or a mixture of Rosemary, Basil and Lavender.
