GREET THE WORLD WITH A GLOW

August 16, 2017

It’s hard to miss the glow of healthy skin. There is radiance, a lift, and light that shines through when someone’s skin is treated gently, when it’s properly cared for and hydrated. Our faces greet the world every day, and with a little love for our skin, people can see for themselves the light that lives inside each of us.

Mainstream cosmetics and skincare regimens are quick to promise. Bottle after bottle, tube after tube of harsh, synthetic-laden formulas ring up at the drugstore register, but our skin is no better for it.

It’s time to look elsewhere. It’s time to look toward nature for ingredients that nourish and smooth the skin. It’s time to walk a unique path to authentic beauty, a path that utilizes advanced botanical extracts like essential oils.

A first step toward an essential-oil-based beauty regimen can begin with an already formulated line of skincare products like ART® by Young Living. This unique system combines traditional wisdom with cutting-edge esthetic science for naturally derived, effective products that are gentle enough for every skin type. Formulated with bioactive ingredients that the skin craves, ART’s Gentle Cleanser, Refreshing Toner and Light Moisturizer deliver radiance today and tomorrow.

ART Gentle Cleanser is infused with Sandalwood, Frankincense, Lavender and Lemon Essential Oils. It cleanses the skin and washes away pore-clogging residues for clean, irresistible softness. A combination of pure essential oils and green tea extract among others make up ART Refreshing Toner and banish any remaining impurities. This sets the skin up for proper hydration with ART Light Moisturizer, which combines Nopal cactus leaf cell extract, snowflake bulb extract, as well as encapsulated, time-released Sandalwood and Frankincense Essential Oils. This quick-absorbing moisturizer brings improved elasticity to the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and creates a barrier that locks in the benefits of these advanced botanical extracts.

The easy-to-follow, three-step ART beauty regimen reveals natural beautiful skin without the use of synthetics. Instead, Young Living utilizes extracts like orchid flowers and a number of Seed to Seal pure essential oils to nourish the skin and naturally preserve all ART products.

Do-it-yourselfers, however, have options beyond pre-formulated skincare products like ART. Young Living Essential Oils offer a dynamic opportunity to create personalized skincare products at home. Recipes for luxurious whipped body butters and homemade foaming face washes are readily available and easy to make, store and use.

It’s important to keep in mind, however, the power of Essential Oils when mixing up a batch of homemade skincare products. Safety is always of utmost concern, even when using natural products. Very few Essential Oils can be used directly on the skin without mixing with carrier oils like Young Living V-6 Vegetable Oil, olive, coconut or sunflower oil first. For instance, citrus oils are phototoxic, must be diluted with carrier oil, and users should limit sun exposure. While Lavender and Tea Tree Essential Oils can be applied directly to the skin, use caution because sensitization can occur. Remember to consult a professional first with questions about appropriate uses of Essential Oils.
